Mellman (of Kiki and Herb) and Medlyn (the Paris Hilton of Performance Art) wear fancy clothes and present a formal evening of R. Kelly songs. The duo re-hash neo-classics such as Ignition Remix, The Greatest Sex, 3-Way Phone Call (with a very SPECIAL GUEST!) and many other songs of lust, religion and paranoia.

Neal Medlyn, now residing in NY, has performed in a variety of plays, made films, written for outstanding publications and been a go-go dancer. He has presented his work in cities in the U.S and Europe including P.S. 122, Ars Nova, the Knitting Factory and Galapagos Art Space. He was honored with the title Mr. Lower East Side in 2004 and starred opposite Karen Finley in George and Martha. He has been discussed in the New York Times, in which he has appeared twice without his shirt on.

Kenny Mellman studied music composition at UC Berkeley and poetry at San Francisco State University. He has received worldwide acclaim for his work as Herb of Kiki and Herb. He has shared the stage or recorded with artists including John Kelly, Bob Mould and The Magnetic Fields’ side project The Three Terrors. Recently he wrote and performed in At Least It’s Pink with Bridget Everett at the Ars Nova Theater and Aspen Comedy Festival. His solo show Kenny Mellman Is Grace Jones was presented by PICA at TBA:05.
