ALL AGES DANCE-O-RAMA

All Ages Dance-o-Rama

Greasy Kid Stuff Dance-O-Rama with Belinda and Hova Featuring visuals by Indiekid Films

With music that refuses to draw the line between “kid” and “adult,” and visuals made by and for kids, families have a chance to shake their groove thing in an environment that is cool, fun and decibel-appropriate.

DJ’s Belinda Miller and Hova Najarian began Greasy Kid Stuff in 1995, broadcasting on freeform radio legend WFMU. Based in Portland since 2004, Belinda and Hova continue to produce Greasy Kid Stuff remotely, running the show from their home and sending a live feed to WFMU’s Jersey City studios, as well as a local version airing on 94/7 Alternative Portland. They have released two CD collections of Greasy Kid Stuff favorites on Confidential Recordings.

Indiekid Films are folks who believe that everyone around the world, regardless of age, should see and create great movies. Shawn Bowman, co-founder and director of Indiekid Films programs kid content for numerous local and national film festivals. Lars Larson, Portland-based experimental filmmaker and media artist, is the founder of KnowFilms, a film resource and education center.

A quirky radio show even by WFMU standards, Belinda Miller and Hova Najarian’s weekly Greasy Kid Stuff gets couch potatoes off their butts with its weird, wild energy-blast songs from across the rock-music time line. -Time Out New York
