Dez Ramirez aka DJ La Cósmica is a writer, artist and DJ that’s been in and out of the Los Angeles and Portland music scene for the last decade. Influenced by the Southern California Chicanx culture she grew up in, her eclectic sets are shaped by the sounds of lowrider oldies, disco, electronic, funk, new wave, post punk, rock en espanol, reggae, hip hop, and rock & roll. The daughter L.A. disco dancers, La Cosmica’s sets often pay homage to her parents, Latin discotecas, and the eccentric, glam club scene of the 1970s and 80s. Find her on IG @silver_mother or
