Keith Hennessy / Circo Zero

Hennessy is a San Francisco-based performer, choreographer, teacher, organizer, and PhD candidate in Performance Studies at UC Davis. He directs Circo Zero and co-founded 848 Community Space/CounterPULSE in San Francisco. Hennessy tours extensively including Queer Zagreb,  New York Live Arts and American Realness Festival in New York, ImPulsTanz in Vienna, and YBCA in San Francisco, among others. He has received multiple Isadora Duncan Awards, a New York Dance and Performance Award (Bessie), and the United States Artist Kjenner Fellowship.

Thomas Zummer

The drawings, media, and sculptural works of Thomas Zummer have been shown worldwide, with recent exhibitions at the Museum van Hedendaagse Kunst, Antwerpen; Fundacio Antoni Tapies, Barcelona; Mütter Museum, Philadelphia; and the Frederieke Taylor Gallery and White Box, New York. He has written essays on Eleanor Antin, Vik Muniz, Leslie Thornton, Jim Campbell, Heleen Decuininck, and Harun Farocki, among others, and has curated exhibitions at the Wexner Center for the Arts, CinéClub/Anthology Film Archives, Thread Waxing Space, the Katonah Museum of Art, and the Palais des Beaux-arts/Brussels. He is currently working on a book on photography entitled Prosthetic Memory: On Photography’s Histories as well as a study of the early history of reference systems entitled Intercessionary Technologies: Database, Archive, Interface. He lectures on philosophy, aesthetics, and the history of technology at RISDI, the European Graduate School, and the Hogeschool Sint Lukas Brussel.
