PICA is excited to announce a full line-up of programs happening in the coming months. We will be presenting an artist-led workshop and a performance with a full choir; we will have an Art & Sports competitive showdown and a film screening; and, on top of all of that, PICA will be hosting artist residencies and SPACE programs sprinkled in between! Join us for Meandering, a free, collaborative workshop by artist Meech Boakye and mathematician Kyle Ormsby. Participants will experiment with piecing together a series of wooden stamps to make large-scale prints, exploring playful forms of drawing through meander combinatorics. Part seance and part dance party, Gasp! is the second opera from Colin Self's series Shadow, a theatrical performance about queer ancestry, spiritual guidance, and the spirit of play. As a frequent proponent of community collaboration, Self turns this time to the dead community as figures to chart trans-dimensional communication.
