A Tribute to the Potty-Mouth and Profound Millie Jackson.

Millie Jackson’s career is said to have begun on a dare and turned out to be one of the most daring stints under the disco lights. Jackson is known for topping the charts with her liberated R&B hits and for her long and winding raunchy raps. Tony-nominated Kenny Mellman (Kiki & Herb) has created with Bridget Everett a fitting tribute to the “potty-mouthed and profound” Jackson. Here, her story songs are played out with uproarious, unabashed frenzy. With Mellman on the piano, accompanied by strings, percussion and the beautifully brash vocalist Everett, this show gets sexy right quick.

Including such songs as Sexercise (parts 1 and 2), the Phuck-U Symphony, A Child of God (It’s Hard To Believe) and special video interludes (and we mean lewd!), Sexercise Live! is a transgressively soulful epic that conjures up memories of nightclubs of not-so long ago.

Kenny Mellman and Bridget Everett recently collaborated with Michael Patrick King (Sex and the City) on the critically acclaimed show, At Least It’s Pink.
