M.K. Guth is a multidisciplinary artist who resides in Portland, Oregon. Working in video, photography and sculpture with an interest interactive environments her work arrives from an indeterminate state of suspicion, where realities fluctuate and believing what one sees is a confining place.
Guth has exhibited with numerous galleries and institutions including, The Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; The Boise Art Museum, Idaho; The Melbourne International Arts Festival, Australia; Nottdance Festival, England; Swiss Institute, New York; Betty Moody Houston, Texas; White Columns, New York; Artists Space, New York; Side Street projects, Los Angeles, California; Yerba Buena, San Francisco, California; and the Henry Art Museum, Washington.
Guth’s video has screened both nationally and internationally. She is a member and the originator of RED SHOE DELIVERY SERVICE, a collaborative interactive project (with Molly Dilworth and Cris Moss). M.K. Guth is represented by Elizabeth Leach Gallery in Portland, Oregon and is the Chair of the MFA in the Visual Studies Program at the Pacific Northwest College of Art.
