Let’s get small for a day! Tiny TBA is a mini-festival within a festival that refuses to draw the line between kids and adults. Bring your families for open gallery hours and take part in activities led by TBA Festival artists and community volunteers.
The ON SIGHT visual art exhibits will open up extra early for your exploration, including Whoop Dee Doo’s cable access TV stage installation. Get ready for their afternoon performance by making your very own costume with Paola LaMoritcella-Fox, and then hop in front of a green-screen camera run by Wieden+Kennedy 12 to put on your own show.
Michel Groisman will lead us in Sirva-se, his Twister-like participatory game where individuals cooperate to pour water for each other, using cups attached to their bodies.
Paint and draw on Michael Reinsch’s wearable art gallery and follow him around the school on a “gallery walk.” Outdoors, find Patrick Rock’s elephant-shaped
inflatable jump room on the WHS grounds.
Spend the day around art, in art, making art, and having fun with art. What other excuse do you need?
Healthy snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.
